Storytime | Infiltration

Continuing from yesterday’s story about Seth…

Infiltration

What better way to find out more about Gertrude and Grace than to infiltrate their world.  And with Seth thinking on many levels, he chooses to infiltrate on several levels at the same time.

Understanding a lot about how the Mark I post box system works, he intercepts letters between Gertrude and Grace.  And eventually learns how to write in each one of their voices.  Carefully, he writes the occasional letter to Grace in Gertrude’s voice.  He does the same with letters to Gertrude in Grace’s voice.

It appears that they’re not aware he’s occasionally dropping a letter into their system of personal communication.

So he becomes bolder and crafts letters that are designed to convince Grace to act bolder in her ongoing search for adventure.  Similarly, he writes letters that are designed to convince Gertrude to continue her support of her friend.

At the same time of his letter writing infiltration, he instructs The Bully to track Gertrude and Grace and report his findings back to him.

But just as he’s making significant progress to learn and influence them, he forgets to check his six.  The one person he counts on has something on her mind.

But that’s a story for tomorrow.
