Denial, Anger, Bargain, and Despair are the first four of ten levels of grief that Victoria has been living through since the collapse of her relationship with Seth.

It’s complicated.
Seth and Victoria have been in love since the day they met, which precedes Seth having met either Gertrude or Grace.
Then one day, Victoria ghosts him. Not surprisingly, he’s less than happy. Having seemingly lost her, he focuses on why he lost her and who is the culprit. Which in his mind has a clear connection to the death of Grace.
While he pursues his primary agenda of learning about Gertrude and Grace, he tasks The Bully to learn everything possible about Victoria.
A year passes and then one night after one of Seth’s card games, The Bully confronts Seth with news about Victoria.
Always be wary about the quiet ones. (Brief conversation between The Bully and Annabelle)
Now Seth has something to say and the shy, introvert isn’t pulling any punches.

Null Paradox | Physics
The nonlinearity of the way Seth thinks brings me to the multiverse concept. It’s the basis of worldbuilding within Null Paradox.
Physicists describe the multiverse as an object that contains all possible universes. At its core, the Null Paradox multiverse is the same, but how we navigate the infinite permutations of each universe within the multiverse is different.
Seth | Zero
To keep things understandable, the primary Seth is Seth Zero.
In Null Paradox, Seth’s life is actually a series of tiny hops from one universe to another stitched together to create the life she experiences. This is facilitated by a machine briefly described in the first book, which plays a more significant role in the second book.
But what do all the other Seths do in the multiverse? Do they wait around until it’s their turn to play a fleeting part in Seth Zero’s life? Or do they have a life of their own that is briefly absconded by Seth Zero?
And how far do they, as people, stray from Seth Zero?
The answer to the last question: the essence of Seth remains the same through all the possible permutations. But there are significant variabilities in his relationships and actions.
Unsurprisingly, what Seth looks like changes too.
Seth | One
Make no mistake, Seth Zero is is the brilliant introvert we’ve known since the first Null Paradox album and Book (Gertrude & Grace).
But Seth One is darker. In his universe, he wasn’t as attached to Victoria during their relationship. The repercussions of Seth One’s actions aren’t as different as you’d imagine from those experienced by Seth Zero. But the acceleration of the repercussions is significantly faster in Seth One’s universe.
If you linearly aligned their timelines, Seth One experienced things before Seth Zero. If only there was a way for them to communicate… Which brings us to a future story about The Bully.
Here’s the tricky part | Zero, One, and Two
The Gertrude, Grace, Victoria, and Seth that you read about are technically the primary ones. “Zero” is appended to their names to reduce confusion, as in Seth Zero. The adjacent universe has a Seth One. And so on, for all of them.
