Facing the Truth
I refuse to be hemmed in by common descriptions such as~
The Bully is part philosopher and part psychologist ~ Apple and Adel
Their description is infuriating because it’s so limiting. Would you hem in my excellent and ongoing work with Gertrude by those simple terms?
Of course not.
When Apple and Adel approached me to help Grace recover and thrive from her various forms of addiction, regardless of the physical form they had spliced together for her, my response was simple: If you’re serious, stay out of my way.
And yes, my way is unorthodox because I’m not encumbered by all those quasi-scientific depictions that Apple and Adel use to describe what they think I am.
To be clear, I’m not a philosopher or a psychologist.
I’m so much more.
What You Can Do
Let’s keep this simple because to explain all the nuances of my methods would be futile.
It’s going to take work on your part, but here’s the starting point that I gave to Grace~
- No Coddling~ No lies. No self-deception. Things aren’t fine. It was time for Grace to confront the raw truth of her addiction and face the ugliest parts of herself. Before she could start the journey of rebuilding, she had to find it within herself to tear her past all down.
- Isolation~ No, I don’t mean living forever like a monk, although that is an option. But most addicts don’t end up at the proverbial “bottom of the pit” by themselves. They had a support system of leaches. Grace needed to rid herself of all of them.
- Goals~ Grace needed a reason to wake up every morning with enthusiasm. And I don’t mean latching on to a person, as she did with Seth. In her case, she needed to learn how to be curious about an idea, a craft, or a skill.
So, we discussed numerous ideas instead of the nonsense discussions that most people have about events or people.
And no, that last sentence is not paraphrasing Socrates because he’s not the one who came up with the depiction of strong minds/ideas, average minds/events, and weak minds/people.
To Grace’s credit, during our discussions, she discovered an idea that required her to learn a difficult set of skills. The details of what she has in mind will be revealed in a future Null Paradox book.
I’m going to say it again~Most importantly, be patient with yourself.
Null Paradox is For You.
Or, more succinctly, I’m for you.
I’m unapologetically raw with how I feel~the highest of highs, the lowest of lows.

I know. It seems odd to want to hear from me. But being odd is part of my genius. Relearning how to be odd can be part of yours, too.
If that makes sense, I can help you. If it doesn’t ~goodbye.
Adieu for now,
Null Paradox. It’s for you.
