Null Paradox | Resentment
In our song Resentment, Victoria is living through the 5th of the 10 stages of Grief.
She resents Seth because of her loss of trust in him. She resents herself for the many times she’s considered rekindling their love.
But that’s not all. She resents Annabelle for seeming to continue her close relationship with Seth. It makes her questions her friendship with Annabelle.

Lyrics
Thought we could’ve relit
Our ashes from the past
Tried to mend what’s broken
But I shattered it too fast
I whispered to myself
Promising a new dawn
But deep down
I knew our love was gone
Resentment
Oh, it’s tearing me apart
Should’ve seen it coming
From the very start
My heart knows
It’s heavy with regret
Your shadow lingers
A love I can’t forget
Resentment
Oh, it’s tearing me apart
Should’ve seen it coming
From the very start
My heart knows
It’s heavy with regret
Your shadow lingers
A love I can’t forget
I walked a fragile line
Between hope and despair
Believed in second chances
But the truth made me scared
Wanted to reach for your hand
But I felt so alone
In the silence of our hearts
The cracks had fully grown
Every tear I cried, every sleepless night
A reminder of the love I couldn’t get right
Blame it on the stars, blame it on the fate
But I know deep down, it’s myself I hate
Oh, forget
Oh, forget
A love I can’t forget, for me
Oh, forget
Oh, forget
A love I can’t forget
Resentment
Oh, it’s tearing me apart
Should’ve seen it coming
From the very start
My heart knows
It’s heavy with regret
Your shadow lingers
A love I can’t forget
I walked a fragile line
Between hope and despair
Believed in second chances
But the truth made me scared
Wanted to reach for your hands
But I felt so alone
In the silence of my heart
The cracks had fully grown
Every tear I cried, every sleepless night
A reminder of the love I couldn’t make right
Blame it on the stars, blame it on the fate
But I know deep down, it’s myself I hate
Resentment
It’s tearing me apart
Should’ve seen it coming
From the very start
My heart knows
It’s heavy with regret
Your shadow lingers
A love I can’t forget
So here I stand
In the ruins of my dreams
Caught between the echoes
And the silent screams
My eyes filled with sorrow’s hue
A love that once burned bright
Now just a faded view
For the good of you
I walked a fragile line
Between hope and despair
Believed in second chances
But the truth made me scared
Wanted to reach for your hand
But I felt so alone
In the silence of my heart
The cracks had fully grown
Every tear I cried, every sleepless night
A reminder of the love I couldn’t make right
Blame it on the stars, blame it on the fate
But I know deep down, it’s myself I hate
Resentment
Oh, it’s tearing me apart
Should’ve seen it coming
From the very start
My heart knows
It’s heavy with regret
Your shadow lingers
A love I can’t forget
Oh forget
Oh forget
A love I can’t forget
I can’t forget
A love I can’t forget
A love I can’t forget
