Evanne Whitten is sketching. Again! Is it a new character for Storybrooke? A new wardrobe idea? Or one of her favorite animals at the zoo? As she was preparing for her first photoshoot with Null Paradox, we caught up with her to chat about singing, acting, songwriting and what she envisions for “Grace.”
Question~Let’s start with the most important question! Which animal from the zoo would you rather try sushi with and why?
I love all animals but lions are by far my favorite. I’m sure they would love sushi. Plus I feel like they would be pretty good conversationalists, being kings of the jungle and all 🙂
Question~How much time do you spend on sketching?
I love art and spend a lot of my free time sketching. Put a piece of paper in front of me and in the space of 5 minutes it will be covered in my doodling.
Question~The overarching story of Null Paradox is about choice. Which would you choose as your preferred method to spend time: reading or fitness?
I’m very into physical fitness and an avid reader so I couldn’t possibly choose; I love both too much. I often combine the two: reading while on the treadmill, bike or elliptical.
Question~You’ve been acting and singing since you were 7, including 2 years in the Artist Development Program at Long Island Studios. Does acting help your singing or vice versa?
I definitely feel that by perusing both I’m a stronger entertainer all around. Acting helps me feel the songs. Music gives my acting a unique cadence.
Question~Who are your biggest music influences?
Grace Potter, Evanesence, Firefly, Paramore, Christina Perri, and Duffy.
Question~What was the biggest event that you’ve performed at to date?
Performing at the Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Question~The artists and crew in Null Paradox are from all over the world; where would you like to travel and perform with them?
I have a long list of ever-changing places I would like to visit but at the moment my top five would have to be New York, Greece, Ireland, France, and Italy.
Question~What personality traits do you share with Grace?
I love Grace’s character because I feel like we have so much in common. Especially her rebellious nature.
